.357 Magnum has various designations such as .357 Mag, .357 Remington magnum and many other various names.
The .357 Magnum is actually derived from the .38 Special, but differs in sleeve length and strength making this a different pattern.
This widely used revolver cartridge, is loved by shooters who use Colt Python and Smith & Wesson revolvers.
This cartridge can also be used in some pistols, but is not ideal as a pistol caliber because of problems due to its length.
