What is a Split-Gearbox ?

The Split Gearbox is an innovative invention of ICS. The base priciple of standard Version 2 Gearbox (as seen in M4 Replica's) is split in two parts. The lower part contains the trigger assembly and gears, the upper part contains the compression parts. The main advantage of this system, is that you can repair, upgrade and maintain the gearbox very fast.
   



Please note! Since the ICS Transform4 UK1 and UK1-R  Electric Blowback Series (EBB), another type of split gearbox is used.
This type is not cross compatible with the previous ICS models.
Also the newer ICS PAR MK3 series are equiped with the EBB upper gearbox.
The new ICS APE will also be outfitted with an EBB gearbox.
